| Hobbies & Interests | Brain Teasers and PuzzlesThere's nothing more fulfilling than solving a good puzzle! Dani loves execrising logic and strategy with good brain teasers at the holodeck. Old TechnologyDani loves reconstructing old technology items from scratch, in particular ancient weaponary from different cultures. She has so far reconstructed a working Mark I Starfleet Issue Phaser, a fully operational Mark I Tricorder, a Mark II Communicator unit and an Earth 15th century musket. 20th Century CartoonsBugs Bunny, the Animaniacs, 'Pinky and the Brain' and the Smurfs are Dani's most favorite cartoons. Much of her sense of humor and pranks are based on those. One of her mother's Average annoyances is Dani's insistence that her future children, if she has any, will be named Yakko, Wacco and Dot. During her teen years she could recite - in perfect and properly quick rythm - the Animaniacs' "The Nations of the World" and "All of the Words in the English Language". It is the general consensus of her academty friends that it is good to avoid asking her to sing either of those songs. Camping and HikingDani appreciates being in good physical fitness, and considers that the source of a functioning brain. She loves nature in general, and the desert in particular, and tries to spend as much time as she can outdoors, or, at least, pretending the outdoors in the holodeck. |
| Personal History | Growing up in the spiritual city of Safed, Dani was always attracted to phylosophy and spiritualism. Her father is a known and connected artist and her mother an arts and history teacher in the local school. Dani has two older brothers; Ido, and Natan, and a sister, Leah. From an early age Dani was into mind games and puzzles, and as she grew she kept searching for harder and greater mind challanges. As a teenager, she was involved with a crime syndicate called the Cardello Syndicate, running "jobs" based mostly on thieving and sneaking around. No one has ever caught her officially in any of the activities she's done for the syndicate, and, officially, there is no record of her "service". At the age of 19 she was caught near the national arts museum after a break in. There was no actual proof of her involvement, but her location was suspicious enough. Since nothing was stolen from the museum, and due to her father's political influences, the judge in the matter has offered Dani a settlement deal in which she would have to give 500 hours of community service in addition of joining a more stable and disciplined system: Starfleet Academy. Though the case was since then closed, investigators in the Israeli Police suspect at least six more known break-in incidents, in which nothing was stolen, but only moved places 'mysteriously', to be connected to Danielle Atarah. None were proven. In 2414 Dani has left Starfleet, and gone back to her old stomping ground on Earth. The Syndicate she previously was "employed" with has mysteriously undergone a leadership coup, where Cardello - its former leader - was replaced by Kalina Zett, the new leader and Danielle's childhood love interest. The two are currently on Earth, retaining and maintaining control over the empire Cardello has left behind. |

Penalties and Reprimands
Danielle Atarah left Starfleet in 2414 to go on a personal mission to rescue her friend, Commodore Andrea Levine, from an occupied Earth. Though the departure was unplanned, she was officially discharged immediately after without penalty, and now resides on Earth. |
