The Titan's CO had increased their speed at her request and they would arrive at Cold Station Theta in the early morning hours. She got back to the desk in her quarters and grabbed a fresh mug of tea and opened a channel back to Starfleet Command, eager to chat about the situation in Beta Quadrant. The current CinC was an old acquaintance that like most people in Starfleet, she had lost touch with over the years. She tried to recall if she had ever met Archer in person or not. They had many late nights on the fleetwide virtual ten forward lounge, before either of them had any idea the positions they'd be in now.

She spoke with his yeoman before being patched through. Sidra smirked at the aged image of Sean Archer, though impressed with his full mane of hair and intensity of his glare. "Admiral Archer." She nodded, formally, gauging his mode.

"Sidra, long time." Sean, tapped a few keys on his console. "I'm not sure if you're aware of the current situation in Beta Quadrant. There was an assassination attempt on Admiral Red. I'm sending you the details that I have. I need you to lock down all near by borders until we can find out who's behind this attack and deal with them."

"Aye, thats why I called in, I'll be at Cold Station Theta in the next few hours, but I wanted to check in on the situation before I arrived. I had not formally reported for duty yet and was not sure who was put in charge in the interim."

Sidra saw the information coming in and replied, "The attack itself seems very personal, but I can't help but think the lad had some organization backing him, there was little information on him, but his rumored father was Pirate Captain who was killed when his ship was destroyed by Starfleet a few years ago when Red came into the sector."

"I will start moving patrols around and ramp up inspections to secure the borders." She reported before giving him a slight smile, "It's good to see you again Sean, even under the circumstances."

"That sounds about right," Sean sighed, "I need you to coordinate with Fleet Admiral Cerywyn concerning border closings and stepping up patrol of them." A quick glance at his chronometer gave him the rest of the information he needed, "As far as who's who's in control... Commodore Jorgun has the sector and I'll see you in twenty-nine hours with sixteen additional ships."

MacLaren nodded at his orders and report that he was on his way as well. "The additional support will be welcome as we sort this out. I'll contact Admiral Cerywyn next. See you soon Admiral. MacLaren out."
