Mission: Insurrection [Fleet Plot]
Location: Qu'vat Shipyards

= Qu'vat Shipyards, Klingon Space =

The Tuffli freighters weren't great ships, but for what Jess needed them for they were perfect; especially in the Gamma quadrant, where the subspace communication network wasn't great to begin with but with the destruction of Zetari the network was useless. Luckily for Jess the new location for the network node was gonna be the orbit of Zetari IV using the old but very reliable Argus array.

The other plus was the independent miners guild was gonna under ride the project with the naming rights for it. The CEO of ARC (Alien Reclamation Corporation) Lester B. Pearson saw it was a good investment especially with more and more people moving into the Gamma quadrant.

The best news really was it just needed six officers to run the array which wouldn't devastate her ranks further as she tried to get things up running again. Herschel was sitting next to Jess in their conference room off of the communication center. "Should we be doing this now," he asked looking a bit worried that they were jinxing something.

"I know it seems premature but if things continue to go in our favor we need to be able to capitalize on it." Jess said looking at Herschel feeling more and more confident on making him the team leader for this ambitious project. "And plus with Zetari destroyed we don't have a central node anymore in the Gamma quadrant.

As they were talking the rest of the participants in the meeting arrived first it was the representatives from ARC. As they entered the conversation between Jess and Herschel immediately stopped. Not 'cause they were afraid of what was being over said they both just hated these meetings.

Monty Forgrave was ARC's representative for the project and well be co-project leader with Herschel. "Commander, lieutenant," Malcolm said politely as he took a seat with two other people; both female. "These are my associates Wilhemina Engstrom and Lorilee Alcantar they're here to help with the legal-side of this deal." Malcolm said with somewhat slimly looking smirk on his face.

Followed by Starfleet's legal consul a Willian Konicek. "Willian Konicek legal counselor for Starfleet-Civilian projects." Willian said looking at Monty knowing his type thinking he has the upper hand, using sly legal terms along with big words to confuse the simple officers. This was exactly why Willian did what he does to make sure something like this doesn't happen especially with what is gonna be going on that array.

"So let's go over the contract. ARC has agreed to under-ride the cost of building the array along with providing the frame and hull plates. Starfleet as agreed to provide the shielding, point-defense phasers and stability thrusters along with whatever is needed to make the array operational." Willian said reading off the basic contract, "upon not needing the array anymore the facility itself well be handed over to ARC while Starfleet get's to take the weapons system, computer cores and any and all Starfleet tech."

Monty nodded after looking at his two legal consultants, "and we're ready to sign off on that today. On one condition." He added with a sneaky smirk.

"And that would be?" Willian asked looking at Monty having an idea what the condition might be.

"We get all rights at constructing other Argus arrays within the Gamma quadrant. And yes I know you'll need to take this back to your superiors, but this deal does hinge on this condition." Monty said.

Jess looked at Herschel and sighed, "I'm sorry but you came to us asking if it was possible to build an communication array. Saying that with Zetari destroyed sending fast communications was nearly impossible. This is just hindering that process."

"It is true we did come to Starfleet and offer this but we also were unaware of the budgetary restrictions you had. Hence the new condition." Monty said looking at Willian, "please explain that this deal is a good deal and well benefit both of us." Monty was right Willian thought it would get the groups name out there which would bring in more business and they would have the logistic support needed to help re-build the communication network within the Gamma quadrant.

"Mr Forgrave is right this is to benefit both sides. But it's gonna take time for me to run this up the flag pole. Can we make this an amendment so we can get the array started?" Willian asked looking at Monty realizing that they had the upper hand walking into this meeting. Monty looked at his two female companions and after some discussion he looked back at Willian.

"That's a agreeable. So shall we sign?" He asked looking at Willian knowing that he was gonna be to the sign for Starfleet and the officers were just witnesses for the event same went for his female companions. Few minuets later the document was signed, "commander and lieutenant we'll be back with a start date, end date and break down of the project for you."

"Thank you Mr Forgrave. Lieutenant Hohstadt well be Starfleet's project manager if you need anything please contact him." And with that done the meeting was concluded and the IMG team headed back to their ship to start getting the ball rolling on their end.
