Mission: Insurrection [Fleet Plot]
Location: USS Vesuvius
Timeline: Following: "The Rescue"

No sooner did they rematerialize did Kassi look to Towers, finally finding her voice it seems as she blurted out. "Can someone tell me what all just went on? My day went to hell and a handbasket and once more I find myself tossed over someone's shoulders and being whisked off again. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.... I would just like some sort of explanation please?"

Sergeant Edmunds and Towers were busy discarding their "borrowed" UFP Security armor. The Colonel turned to Kassi.

"Where's Sharpe's daughter, Commodore? I need to know that urgently." He said.

There was a moments hesitation as she near spouted off the same story she'd told the intelligence guy. This was Towers, a friend and someone close to Richard. "She's on the USS-Zhanglao. Under the protection of Captain Draven."

"Can you be absolutely certain that Captain Draven's loyalty is to Starfleet? That he won't give her up to UFP loyalist forces?" Towers asked.

"Yes, he won't even give her up to you. Not unless he speaks to me first." Her tone clearly stated she had absolute faith in the man she'd trusted the General's daughter to. "And no one knows where she is."

"Hopefully that's good enough for Sharpe." Towers said, not looking totally convinced.

"He told me to keep her safe and away from people that might want to drag her into things. So I did what I felt I needed to do. I hid her.... And here I thought I was just being paranoid." The last part more of a mutter.

"So care to tell me how you managed to end up.... " She paused a moment, not really over thrilled with the fact that she needed to be saved again. "knowing I would need to be... rescued again?"

"You were on the list." Towers said. Knowing that needed more explanation, he continued.

"The UFP government has decided to purge Starfleet, and that includes anybody that would put up resistance to the coup, as well as anybody associated with those they perceive as the ringleaders of this little resistance... So myself, Generals Sharpe, Taylor and Tyris, and the list grows. You are connected to myself and Sharpe, and the importance of taking Sharpe's daughter should be obvious." He explained.

Kassi sighed softly as she thought of Sarah. Yes, she knew the girl was safe, but would Richard be mad that she had taking that step of sending her off the Station without talking to him first? "Sarah I can see.... but me?"

"Like I said, you are connected to both of us. They know that if we asked for your loyalty in resistance against the new government, we'd probably have it. They are trying to stop a rebellion before it grows large enough to be a real threat." Towers said.

A hand lifted to rub the bridge of her ridged nose as she pondered the fact that she was on a list. "Why do I get the feeling I don't want to know what would have happened to me this time had you not shown up."

"They wouldn't have killed you if they could avoid it. They would have used you to draw myself and Sharpe out into the open where they would most definitely kill us." Towers told her.

"So now... the Station is left under whoever they put there? I know my crew, do they honestly think my crew is just going to submit to whoever they put in charge there?"

"I have no idea what the plans for Zetari are, Commodore. Your removal has nothing to do with wanting control over Zetari. It has everything to do with wanting to get at us, like I said." Towers said.

Kassi sighed softly as she couldn't help but to wonder about her Station and what would happen to it now. "So now what? I doubt very much you all are going to put me back someplace where I'll be at risk yet again."

"No, I think we'd prefer you stayed on the Vesuvius for now. I'll have to be getting in touch with Sharpe to let him know we've... well.. partially succeeded. It'll be up to him if he wants us to go get his daughter as well, or if he decides she's safe enough. For now we're going to wait for that Intel ship to undock and we're going to follow it." Towers said.

"And I don't suppose you are going to let me contact anyone. So... I'm supposed to do what while on this.... ship?" Kassi asked as she tried to figure out just what she'd be doing for the next... who knew how long.

"Depends on who you want to contact. I'd rather we not have to engage UFP forces, but a ship the size of the Vesuvius is rather difficult to hide."

"Team Two has the runabout docked." Sergeant Edmunds told Towers.

"Good. Sharpe would kill me if I left that behind." Towers muttered. "Dismissed Sergeant. Good work today."

Edmunds saluted and left.

She was quiet for the time as the two guys spoke, before she said anything. "I'll make sure I'll clear it by you before I contact anyone." She glanced around the area a moment before looking back to him. "In the meantime, as you seem to keep skipping over this question.... I'm doing what while I'm on this ship? After all, I don't want to step on toes."

"You're a guest. VIP quarters aren't exactly Zetari grade on a military ship, but they'll do. Until we find out what Sharpe and Malone want us to do in terms of the big picture, all we need to do is stay alive." Towers said.

"Alright, I'm not worried about what the quarters are like." She said with a shrug. "I guess for now I explore the ship and try to keep myself busy and out of everyone's way."

Towers nodded. He wanted to tell her to keep her nose out of the more "military" areas of the ship, but he was still talking to a superior officer. He had to respect that.

Kassi kept constant study of people she talked to, and knew there was something more that Towers wanted to say. "I'm a guest on this ship... I'm also, I'm gathering, off duty for a bit. Call me Kassi please... and if there is something you want to say to me... say it. You've rescued me enough that I respect you and will at least listen to what you have to say."

"Just... be careful around the ship, Commodore. Marines don't always appreciate curiosity." Towers said, leaving it at that.

Kassi smirked a little and nodded. "Once I find my quarters, a holosuit and the prom... Err Mess hall? I'll be a good little guest and stay out of places... with the exception of maybe visiting the bridge?" She asked curiously.

"I'm sure Colonel Fischer will be fine with that. The Sergeant outside will show you to your quarters, Commodore. I need to get back to the bridge." Towers said.

"Alright...." She said with a soft smile. "And... Colonel, Thanks again." Kassi offered softly before she moved slowly to the door to meet up with the Sergeant.
